Dependency Wheel

Overview

We needed a way to allow the user to view records along with their dependencies as well as what would be affected if one record was adjusted. I came up with the Dependency wheel which best displays how items are linked and how the user can explore the relationship between these items.

By clicking on a Monitoring point we can see what triggers it has, as well as what other monitoring points it is linked to. By displaying this the user is easily able to determine that if switching one monitoring point off, which other monitoring points are affected.

We can then explore further by clicking on a trigger and see what items are linked to it, and so forth as we move down the chain.
